I want to take a moment to acknowledge the appreciation I have for working with Kelly! She never fails to amaze me in her willingness to step up, pick up and move ahead with accounts as we transition from Placement to Service; I know and appreciate it is challenging to start up where someone else leaves off but she does it with such finesse and ease! So often there is so much open follow up and/or questions to be answered; Kelly does a great job of reviewing the tasks and moving them forward and/or asking questions if needed; she defines TEAM player and always steps up!! HATS OFF to you Kelly for taking such great care in servicing our new and/or renewal business!! GO KELLY!

Laura did a FANTASTIC job on planning the Carrier Appreciation Event. The ambiance, the set up, the food, the custom cocktail/mocktail (such a pretty drink!), the gifts (so many compliments!), and the organization with the volunteers made this a wonderful event. The amount of detail into this I am sure took weeks. I can't wait for next years event! Thank you Laura for all of your hard work!

I want to take a moment to recognize the outstanding work Jennifer Garcia has been doing for our Employee Benefits team in San Antonio. Over the past several months, she has consistently demonstrated an exceptional level of detail and ownership in onboarding new clients. Jennifer has a talent for digging into the nuances, identifying issues early, and ensuring each group transitions smoothly and confidently. That level of thoroughness doesn’t just prevent problems, it builds trust with our clients from day one. Her impact hasn’t gone unnoticed. One client recently referred to her as a ROCKSTAR, and I couldn’t agree more. Jennifer’s professionalism, follow-through, and reliability continue to elevate the experience we deliver and will remain a key driver of our long-term success in the San Antonio market. Grateful to have her on the team and excited for everything we’ll accomplish with her contributions on the service side.

The Windmill Project has been an integral part of the Alexandria community since the early 2000s, providing support to families of children with disabilities and special needs. It originally began as part of a regional, federally funded experimental grant aimed at empowering parents to partner with professional service systems. When the federal funding ended, a dedicated group of family volunteers, supported by local professionals, recognized the positive impact of the project and committed to sustaining it.

In 2004, the Windmill Project was incorporated as a non-profit organization directed by a board of community parent volunteers. Since its inception, the project’s primary focus has been on building relationships between parents for peer support and connecting them to relevant resources. In the early days, disabilities were often segregated and not visibly acknowledged within local communities. Today, individuals with disabilities are more integrated into our communities in various ways.

With the help of the internet, the Windmill Project has expanded its reach, connecting people with disabilities and their families to essential services and resources. Today, the project’s main role in the community is to provide sensory-friendly events that foster connections and relationships within the special needs community.

Bethany has been such a great addition to our team! She asks all the right questions and is very detail oriented. She isn’t afraid to pause and clarify what’s being asked so that she does things right the first time. She joined our book during our busiest time and not only kept up with the fast pace and high demands but did it with positivity and an eagerness to learn. I appreciate that she likes to know the why behind what we are doing so she can fully understand the process. Bethany is hard-working, intelligent, kind and overall a great person. I am grateful for all her support and feel very lucky to have her on my team!

Deb is an amazing asset to CG! Every time I work with her, she goes above and beyond what’s being asked. She is extremely knowledgeable, hard-working and her attention to detail is incredible. Recently I was backing someone up and was not familiar with the account or the financing they were trying to put in place. It was late in the day on a Friday and the client needed to pay that day to avoid cancellation. When I called Deb, she immediately jumped in and made some phone calls to figure out how to get it done. She was so positive and helpful and I was so appreciative of her support. To have someone like Deb who is willing to drop everything to help solve a problem is so valuable and I’m extremely grateful for her. Thank you, Deb, for everything you do!

Kelly Preston - Recognition - Nov 6, 25

I want to take a moment to recognize Kelly for her excellent handling of a recent client issue. Because of her clear and detailed documentation, I was able to quickly step in and work with the carrier to correct an error on their part. Kelly was responsive, helpful, and appreciative throughout the process, and even though the issue was not caused by us, her concern for the client’s experience truly stood out. Her attention to detail and passion for doing things right make a real difference, especially in situations where we need to request a correction or favor from a carrier. It’s a great reminder that the devil is in the details and details matter, and Kelly’s diligence is a perfect example of how strong documentation and teamwork lead to successful outcomes. Great work, Kelly, and thank you for collaborating with me to solve this issue for the client! I so enjoy working with you.

Nancy embodies the meaning of "team work makes the dream work!" While needing to utilize PTO for an unforeseen circumstance, Nancy picked up right where I left off without any hesitation and/or cause for concern. Upon my return and reviewing the file, her execution seemed effortless (plug for the rest of the placement team) and more importantly, she displayed a professional and positive attitude throughout her involvement. Even when I sent a personal note to thank her and say sorry for the extra work, she replied with "Why the apology? I am so very happy to help you!" WOW! I've shared there's nothing glamorous about "insurance," and at times, our day to day duties go unnoticed and/or unappreciated with the thought of being "your (our) job, it's what you're supposed to do." So an effort and attitude like Nancy displayed must be/should be recognized! Plus, the unity within the Risk Placement team makes them one of the best teams I've been a part of! So shout out to Nancy and the Risk Placement team!

Ellie was paired up with me as my CST buddy, and she has been great. She has so much knowledge between policies and Epic, she is a constant help to me. Even when we are dealing with a specific segment of insurance that neither of us are familiar with, she really digs in and helps figure out the answer. It's been great getting to work side by side with her and get to know her. Thanks Ellie!

Kim is inspiring, encouraging and leads by example. She advocates for her entire team and we are so appreciative that she goes the extra mile for us. She takes the time to explain not only the procedure but the reason for the procedure. She always makes me feel heard and supported. She truly is the epitome of what a Team Lead is and I am so fortunate to work with her and can’t thank her enough for all she does on a daily basis.

I want to take a moment to express my appreciation for Kim. She has been an incredible support system, always there when I need help troubleshooting issues or navigating challenges. Her dedication to not only the team's success but also to each individual’s growth is truly remarkable. What stands out the most is her genuine care. Whether it’s taking the time to explain something clearly or offering encouragement during tough moments, she always makes sure I feel heard and supported. It’s rare to find someone who balances both leadership and empathy so well, and I feel incredibly lucky to get to work with her. Thank you, Kim, for being such an amazing mentor, problem-solver, and overall fantastic person!

Kim is an amazing Team Leader who genuinely cares about her team. She goes above and beyond to make sure each one of us has the tools needed to succeed at what we do. She keeps us all informed about changes , procedures and agency updates. To be sure everyone was comfortable working with and using Epic, Kim set up training sessions for us as a group and individually. She steps in to help when one of us is out of the office. She turns a mistake into a learning opportunity, not a criticism. She brings a positive attitude and energy to all that she does. When there is a concern or question, Kim listens and gives knowledgeable and concise replies. Kim is an incredible advocate for not only for her team, but also for what's best for CG. She is kind, caring, wonderful to work with and epitomizes all that a leader should be. I am very fortunate to be working with Kim and to be a part of her team.

I truly believe that I am one of the luckiest people at CG because I get to work with Meghan every day. She is always open to helping me out with questions as I learn her book, listen to my ideas, and even just listen whenever, no matter what it is. Doesn't matter how many times I might ask the same dumb question over and over again, she answers quickly and with understanding as I'm still learning. Not only is she understanding and nurturing within her role as my manager at CG, but she also applies that to my personal life as well. I am so honored to be chosen for her team, and can't wait to see where the years to come take us. Thank you for being awesome, Meghan!

November Leadership Update

A QUICK NOTE We recommend you revisit the 2025 Strategic Plan as we close out the year. Our recent meeting highlighted strong momentum across several key initiatives that are shaping our future and reinforcing our commitment to operational excellence and community impact. View the Strategic Plan

CHARITY DONATIONS We're thrilled to share some incredible news: CG has been awarded $10,000 from West Bend! This generous contribution is divided into two impactful allocations. The first $5,000 comes from the Spirit of the Silver Lining program in support of our CG nomination of You're Not Alone. Thank you to all employees who participated in voting for which charity we nominated for the Spirit of the Silver Lining-your voices made this happen. This award will be formally announced in the Spring at the Silver Lining Agency Management program. You're Not Alone is committed to supporting whole-person health and well-being, with a focus on mental health. Through a community-based network of peer leaders who share their lived experiences, they create a compassionate space where individuals facing mental health crises can find acceptance and support without judgment. By fostering peer-to-peer connections, they empower individuals and their loved ones to navigate challenges together, building resilience through compassion, empathy, and understanding. The Charity Committee will be guiding where the next $5,000 in additional dollars from West Bend charitable contributions will go. We're grateful to West Bend-a great carrier partner of ours-for their continued support of the causes that matter to our team and community. Spotlight on a 10-Year Vision: Be invaluable to the Communities We Serve

OUR STRATEGIC OFFSITE Planning is underway for our Strategic Offsite, where our department leaders will come together to build the upcoming year's annual initiatives. While not everyone can be present at this meeting, expect to be involved in the process. You should be hearing from your leaders-asking you: What problems could we solve with AI? Where do you spend time on workflows that you think we could make faster? Don't wait for someone to ask you either. If you think of something, bring it up. We want all ideas raised up-that's the spirit of our employee-ownership model. If we do this right, we're going to positively impact all our key stakeholders: clients, carriers, and co-workers.

E&O - TOP 20 ACCOUNTS REVIEW We're refining our process to audit and verify coverages on our Top 20 accounts agency-wide, and we want to clearly outline how we're approaching this critical initiative. We're going to be discussing this primarily in P&C to start, and it will be a topic of conversation for each Segment as we land in this new structure. This is a major and important effort that requires the expertise of our most experienced employees to thoroughly review coverages and ensure we're providing the highest level of protection and service to our largest clients. By continuously improving our E&O protocols and leveraging our team's deep experience, we're strengthening our risk management practices and reinforcing our commitment to excellence. Spotlight on a 10-Year Vision: Products & Services - Define, or evolve, our service model by revenue size

FANS FIRST LEADERSHIP A few members of our team recently attended a leadership chat with Jesse Cole, CEO of the Savannah Bananas-the wildly popular baseball entertainment team that's reimagining America's pastime with sold-out stadiums and millions of social media fans (check out what they're all about!). Jesse spoke about the Fans First mentality and how you need to understand the friction points in the Fan (client) experience to truly build an experience they fall in love with. His insights on creating memorable moments and eliminating obstacles resonated deeply with our own mission to deliver exceptional client experiences. We highly recommend the Fans First book to anyone who is curious about transforming how we think about client service and engagement. Spotlight on a 10-Year Vision: Best in Class Client Experience
