I wanted to take a moment to recognize Andrew for going above and beyond his role to support IT and our San Antonio office!

When our team needed help getting a new network switch configured and ready for our San office expansion, Andrew stepped up without hesitation. Despite this falling well outside the typical scope of a producer, he rolled up his sleeves and brought his skills and initiative to the table, ensuring our infrastructure was properly set up.

This kind of team-first attitude and willingness to do whatever it takes makes a huge difference. Thank you, Andrew, for your flexibility, your effort, and for helping set our San Antonio team up for success!

Just wanted to shoutout one of the most supportive and exceptional leaders I have worked with, Randi Gillen. Randi truly cares about her team and will jump in to make sure everyone has what they need to succeed. Whenever I'm not quite sure how to proceed, Randi always provides her honest feedback while also sharing what has worked well for her and clients in the past. Within the last couple of months she has taken the time to simplify and improve some of our processes which has been a huge time saver. Thank you, Randi for everything you do to support me and the rest of the small group team!

Brooke Collier - Recognition - Feb 27, 26

I want to recognize Amy and Brooke for their exceptional partnership and execution on a highly compressed March 1 renewal. After securing a BOR in mid-January, we had less than three weeks to complete marketing, finalize plan decisions, and implement open enrollment and they immediately mobilized with a clear plan and steady leadership. Every milestone was met, open enrollment closed seamlessly, and files were submitted to the carrier ahead of schedule. The CFO said it best: “I know we are in great hands with Amy and Brooke.”

Recently Irene assisted in trying to get me a carrier login. I misread an out of office message for someone else and thought that I was to reach out to Irene for help. While this was not her job to cover for this person, she was more than happy and jumped on getting ahold of the carrier to help me out. She demonstrated willingness to help, teamwork, and a timely response. I appreciate your help Irene, and promise to read out of office replies correctly going forward ha!

Even with the issues we ran into, she never got frustrated and showed patience, knowledge, and willingness to help. Thank you Laura for all of the help!

Kyle,

You offered a gesture of kindness to help support me recently when I needed support, but perhaps was afraid to outright ask for it, and it did not go unnoticed. It reminds me of what drew me to CG, what makes me stay and what I strive to be for others inside and outside of our organization. The lift for you may have seemed small, though the simply fact that you stepped up to support me was so large, powerful and I appreciate you. Thank you for living what I see as our culture brought to life.

I wanted to take a moment to recognize Jenn for the outstanding work she's been doing with our clients. Recently, we had a client with HR turnover right as open enrollment ended. We've been working with an entirely new team while simultaneously getting them up to speed and cleaning up from open enrollment which means juggling a lot of moving pieces at once. Jenn has been absolutely stellar through it all. She's been incredibly kind and patient with the new team, thoroughly explains everything in a way that anticipates follow-up questions before they even arise and maintains a sense of urgency that keeps everything moving forward smoothly. Her attention to detail and proactive communication have made what could have been a really rocky transition feel manageable. Our client is in great hands and I'm grateful to be working alongside someone who handles complex situations with such grace and professionalism.

Katie recently jumped in to identify an account issue and worked diligently to get the billing squared away. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled correctly on our end (and with the broker), and her extra effort did not go unnoticed. You are a true team player—thank you, Katie, for your dedication, support, and expertise!

I had many questions at open enrollment time for my personal benefits, and Carolyn was very responsive and helpful the entire time. Not once did she make me feel like a burden for reaching out to her. Then, when reviewing my elections, she noticed that I had missed something and asked if she would like me to revise. While this missed item was not detrimental and would have been fine if it was missed, the fact that 1) she was so thorough to catch it and 2) she took the time to reach out and then revise my elections speaks volumes on her outstanding work and care. We are so very lucky to have someone so dedicated to us and our families. Thank you so much Carolyn!

Funds donated by the Eden Prairie Office - In 1993, the executive director of Hospitality House Youth Development (HHYD) created Christmas With Dignity. This unique shopping experience is for parent/guardian who is economically disadvantaged who find themselves unable to afford to buy Christmas presents for their children. The parent or guardian will have the pleasure of shopping and giving their children new gifts at prices they can afford. This allows the children to see their parent/guardian as a provider, and at the same time, the family is strengthened.

March Leadership Update

A QUICK NOTE We recommend you visit the 10 Year Vision & 2026 Initiatives as we are in full-swing on our projects and focuses for 2026.

SERVICE SUMMIT & NEW HIRE SUMMIT Meghan Brown, HR Director, and Sam Olinger, COO, discussed the agenda for our inaugural Service Summit in May 2026. We're bringing the Sales Summit energy to our service teams by gathering all service employees (in two sessions) to inspire, develop, and refine the CG way. We are currently determining which employees will attend each session (May 5 and May 6) and will send details soon. This will include travel and logistics information for traveling employees. Watch for this in the coming weeks. New Hire Summit will continue with key sessions for new employees. In response to feedback from tenured employees, we're offering optional invitations to New Hire Summit sessions, allowing you to select topics of interest. Watch for these invites in the coming weeks. **Spotlight on a 10-Year Vision: Best in Class Talent (Recruit, Develop, Retain) **

ENTERPRISE RISK DASHBOARD DJ Steinmeyer, General Counsel, presented a new Enterprise Risk Dashboard framework. After conducting leadership and department interviews and analyzing our processes, DJ leveraged his retail insurance brokerage experience to create this comprehensive dashboard. The framework evaluates both the likelihood and severity of various risks, generating an overall risk score that we're committed to reducing over time. As shared at State of CG, we currently maintain 6 million PII (Personally Identifiable Information) records; a significant concern that tops our enterprise risk dashboard. Our ongoing efforts to reduce stored PII and establish regular purging practices are critical. This requires everyone's participation: we must develop strong habits around minimizing PII storage and purging records when no longer needed. This is one of our All-Play initiatives across CG. Spotlight on 2026 Operational Goals: Launch Enterprise Risk Dashboard + Periodic Review Process

Celebrating Recognition for You're Not Alone (YNA)

We’re excited to share some great news. The nonprofit organization You're Not Alone (YNA), which CG proudly nominated, has been honored with West Bend Insurance Company's 2025 Spirit of the Silver Lining Award through the West Bend Independent Agents’ Fund. The award was presented at West Bend’s Silver Lining Annual Meeting recognizing YNA’s incredible dedication to delivering hope, compassion, and mental health support to individuals in our community and beyond. As part of the recognition, West Bend doubled their original donation and presented YNA with a $10,000 contribution to further expand their vital work supporting mental health and well-being. Several members of our team were proud to participate in the celebration and assist with the check presentation, including Jake Olinger, Dustin Craig, and Tony Larson. It was a meaningful moment to stand alongside an organization making such a powerful impact.

About You're Not Alone

Founded by Amy Walz, You're Not Alone is dedicated to supporting whole-person health and well-being, with a strong focus on mental health. Their mission centers on creating a compassionate community where individuals experiencing a mental health crisis can find acceptance, understanding, and support without fear of judgment. One of YNA’s most impactful initiatives is its partnership with school districts across the country, where volunteer therapy dog teams visit schools to support both students and staff. Their programming helps educate young people on:

  • Social-emotional skills that promote mental wellness
  • Strategies to cope with life stressors
  • Tools to prevent and address bullying
  • The positive role animals can play in emotional well-being

    Supporting Our Own Employee-Owners

CG has also partnered with You're Not Alone to support the mental health and well-being of our employee-owners. Through this partnership, we have hosted sessions that provide access to YNA’s compassionate, peer-based support. This reinforces our commitment to whole-person wellness in the workplace.

    A Longstanding Tradition of Giving

Since 2006, the West Bend Independent Agents’ Fund has awarded more than $1.4 million in grants to nonprofit organizations making meaningful differences in their communities. The Spirit of the Silver Lining Award recognizes independent agents and the organizations they support for their commitment to creating a positive impact. We are honored to support You're Not Alone and the life-changing work they continue to do in mental health advocacy and peer support. We are also grateful to West Bend Insurance Company for recognizing the important role this organization plays in strengthening our community. You can view the full list of award winners on the West Bend Philanthropy site: https://philanthropy.thesilverlining.com/
