A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation provides lung cancer education to more than 100,000 Americans each year and people from 130 other countries. Our literacy-friendly and evidence-based Animated Patient's Guide to Lung Cancer, found at youandlungcancer.com, has received 2 million visits since its launch in late 2017, and we continue to grow its content to ensure it is a comprehensive one-stop-shop for people who wish to be educated about lung cancer, especially patients and families. The research we carefully vet and fund continues to be transformational and published in major scientific journals. In response to improved survivorship, we have also added survivorship experiences on our website to overcome the burden of stress following a diagnosis. A Breath of Hope has added initiatives to increase both screening and biomarker testing in the U.S. By educating both physicians and patients about the importance of early diagnosis and biomarker testing immediately following a diagnosis, survival rates will continue to improve.

Over the past month I have been working in a new system that required me to migrate client accounts from our old platform to the new. When I was tied up and my client needed their Auto ID Cards right away, Grace (who works in Commercial Lines) somehow received their request instead of the request making its way to the Personal Lines Department. She saw it was something she could handle, stepped right in, and took care of it and cc'd me on her email to the client. That's the kind of initiative and teamwork that makes a real difference.
What I really appreciate is that she's not on my immediate team, yet she jumped in without hesitation. She recognized the need, owned it and delivered. Yesterday Shelby received a phone call from one of my insureds when I was unavailable that needed a certificate of insurance ASAP. We were able to tag team and get the certificate out within an hour, after having to confirm multiple coverages were on the policy that satisfied the lease agreement. I appreciate so much that she was willing to jump in and work side by side with me when she could have easily forwarded it to me to work on once I was available and continued her own busy book of business. Shelby showed true teamwork, dedication to our insureds, and knowledge in assisting me. Thank you SO MUCH Shelby!
