I am a self-described an insurance nerd/enthusiast with over 15 years of experience navigating this fascinating industry in claims, underwriting, marketing, and product development. Specializing in everything from policy details to fraud investigations, I have seen much — and cracked a few fraud cases along the way. That said, there is more in this world that I do not know, than I do know. As such, I am a true believer in the power of mentoring, I am passionate about growing together with peers and helping others elevate their careers in the industry. Sometimes we all need to anchor our ships and help others adjust their sails so we can all have successful travels on this journey called life.

Originally from the Netherlands, English is my second language, and I’ve mastered it just as skillfully as I’ve mastered the insurance game, which some days is questionable on both accounts. When not cracking the code on complex insurance claims, I am the proud bonus mom to four kids, managing to keep it all together with a little help from Andy, whose kindness is only surpassed by his good looks (yes, you can roll your eyes here). Together, we enjoy traveling the world, exploring the great outdoors, and savoring a good bourbon — because, let’s face it, we’ve earned it!

With the spirit of Brene Brown’s vulnerability and Beth Dutton’s "don’t mess with me" attitude, I brings both heart and grit to everything I do.
