Sujatha Ramanathan
Sujatha Ramanathan grew up between the U.S. and Malaysia, which gave her a fun mix of cultures and a love for connecting with people from all kinds of backgrounds. She was born in Angola, Indiana, and moved to Malaysia at age 8, where she finished middle and high school.
She got her first job at 12 working in her parents’ American diner, which is where her interest in people and human resources really started. She later worked as a barista even though she doesn’t drink coffee, just loves the smell and vibe.
She graduated from St. Cloud State University with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and International Business and joined Microbiologics right after graduating. She later earned her MBA from Concordia University in St. Paul. She has spent the past 7 years in HR and talent acquisition, starting at Microbiologics, then moving into HR and recruiting with Chick-fil-A, and most recently spending 4.5 years at Minnesota’s top executive search firm, SkyWater Search Partners, before joining Christensen Group.
Outside of work, she is very active and social. She enjoys being outside, swimming, pickleball, cooking, traveling, and mentoring through Big Brothers Big Sisters. She is also a proud aunt and loves spending time with her nieces and nephew. Family is a big part of her life. She is one of four siblings and stays very close with all of them. She recently got engaged after meeting her fiancé at a job fair, and they have been together for five years.
She also loves to travel and has a goal of visiting one country a year. Some of her favorite places so far include Ireland, Iceland, and Bali.
