I’d broadly describe my biggest hobby as “learning”. Astronomy, physics, math, history, DIY construction, it doesn’t really matter what the topic is. I enjoy the challenge of expanding my knowledge in adjacent fields and bringing that back to add depth to my personal and professional life.

My two favorite areas of study are personal finance and macroeconomics. I’m a bit of a math/optimization junkie, which coincides nicely with my day job as an investment advisor. When the work you do professionally is also your biggest personal interest, it makes work a lot more interesting (and fun!)

Outside of that, I enjoy just about any physical activity or sport that can be done outdoors. Swimming, golf, basketball, tennis, etc. Grace's grandparents live up on Rock Lake (near Maple Lake) and we spend as much time up there in the summer as possible.

Grounded in Stoic philosophy, this series serves as a blueprint for leveraging the writings &knowledge of some of history’s best thinkers. They are quick, easy reads that I plan to revisit often. You can buy the entire series as The Way, The Enemy And The Key on Amazon.
