Salsa Contest Winner

The Green Committee’s Salsa Contest was a flavorful success! Using fresh ingredients from the CG ESOP Garden — including heirloom tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, and jalapeños — participants created salsas ranging from traditional to fruity and fiery.

• 1st Place: Randi Gillen – Traditional Garden Salsa (17 votes)
• T-2nd Place: Jennifer Roberts – Raspberry Salsa & Lillian Rivera – Classic Salsa (16 votes each)
• 4th Place: Amber Taft – Smoky & Spicy Salsa (+1 bonus for creativity!) (10 votes)
• 5th Place: Sean Kurtenbach – Mango Salsa (9 votes)
• 6th Place: Wes Slaughter – “Muy Caliente” Salsa (6 votes)
• T-7th Place: Tyler Gerads – Orange Salsa & Mady Bauer – Green Salsa (5 votes each)

The variety and creativity were outstanding, and it was a perfect way to showcase the garden’s harvest. A huge thank-you to everyone who planted, watered, and cared for the garden all summer. And thank you to all who participated — whether by creating, tasting, or cheering on the contestants!
